CIM Group Director Appointed Avison Young NJ Director of Property Management Services

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Property management veteran Rick Zack has been appointed director of property management services for Avison Young New Jersey.

The new hire was announced by Jeffrey L. Heller, Avison Young, Principal and General Manager of New Jersey. Zack, who has over 20 years of property management experience, most recently served as Regional Vice President at CIM Group, LP since 2018.

Previously, Zack spent nearly 18 years with Advance Realty, where he oversaw the property management and construction operations of a portfolio of over 4 million square feet in New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia.

Zack’s experience in property management covered most of the major real estate asset classes that involved a mastery of financial reporting requiring a comprehensive knowledge of construction operations and project management practices, says Avison Young.

Zack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University as well as a Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) International. . He also holds Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) titles, including Certified Property Manager (CPM), Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM). Additionally, Zack is a member of BOMA New Jersey and IREM New York.
